William Nadylam is an award-winning actor and director on stage and screen.
Born in France, he grew up on several continents and in multiple countries, including Cameroon and Belgium.
In his work, he draws on his international upbringing and on a wide range of cultural influences. From Shakespeare to J.K. Rowling, Mozart to Aimé Césaire, Nadylam exhibits an acute understanding of diverse time periods, locations, and cultural contexts.
In addition to being multilingual, his approach is also multidisciplinary. He was in medical school in Paris, set to follow in the footsteps of his physician father, when he turned to acting;
like medicine, he considers it another way of caring for people and connecting with their stories.
Currently based in New York and Paris, Nadylam’s career spans film and television, theatre and the lyric arts.
He has directed dance productions in New York and Nuremberg, as well as led acting workshops in Brazilian favelas and in French prisons.
In both breadth and depth, his work is animated by his distinctive voice, social vision, and singular sense of storytelling.
